Trying to beat the internet cafe count down to post this

Hi there.   Just a short note to let you know that we are safe and sound in Temale.   The city has grown immensely over the last 10 years, but I am still at the same internet cafe it seems.   It has good airconditioning and working computers. (which has not been the case at the other cafes).   Overall we have found Temale overwhelming as it is much busier than Hohoe.   In addition to this, first I got sick and now Scott is down and out for a bit.   I was pretty bad off on Monday and was fortunately taken to the Cuban doctors who were able to treat me in their house.   They were Carmen and Raul and they did a quick diagnosis that changed rather rapidly as I was making very rapid and frequent visits to their facilities in the 1/2 hour I was there.  Time to bring out the Cipro and a first for me in a developing country -- an injection.   This is one thing I have avoided.   However,   it was felt that without something to calm my insides I would not be able to take the Cipro orally, which would mean an IV.     So there in an old Temale bungalow with the shirtless male Cuban doctor administering a shot to my nether regions on the bed of the female doctor, I was on my road to recovery.   And fortunately,   as soon as Scott started feeling the same symptoms he started the Cipro and is having a much easier time of it.     Sylvie as always is being the trooper and a very considerate nurse through all of this, even though it has not meant much fun for her.

We have so much to say, but not the ability to share it right now maybe we will catch up in a little bit.   We are off to Mole to see the elephants tomorrow.
